Uptime monitoring is the most basic form of observability — knowing whether your service is up or down from your users’ perspective. Internal monitoring that a service is running is not sufficient; external monitoring from multiple global regions is required to detect regional network issues, partial outages, and failures that internal health checks miss. Hellenic Technologies implements multi-region uptime monitoring for all client services and provides public or private status pages for operational transparency. Uptime Robot checks HTTP and HTTPS endpoints every minute from multiple regions, sending alerts via email, Slack, PagerDuty, or SMS when endpoints become unavailable. We configure monitors for all externally accessible services — web applications, API endpoints, and critical internal services via VPN — with appropriate HTTP response code validation and content checks that verify the application is actually responding correctly, not just that the server is accepting connections. Status pages built on Uptime Robot, BetterUptime, or Statuspage.io give clients and their customers a single place to check current system health and historical uptime. We configure status pages to show per-component availability, current incidents, and maintenance windows. Subscribing users receive automatic notifications when incidents are opened and resolved. Transparent status communication during incidents significantly reduces support ticket volume and maintains user trust. Uptime monitoring services:
  • Multi-region HTTP/HTTPS uptime monitoring with 1-minute check intervals
  • SSL certificate expiry monitoring with 30-day and 7-day alerts
  • Domain expiry monitoring with 60-day alert
  • TCP port monitoring for non-HTTP services
  • Content validation checks that verify application response correctness
  • Status page setup and configuration (Uptime Robot, BetterUptime, Statuspage)
  • Incident communication workflows with subscriber notifications
  • PagerDuty integration for on-call escalation
  • Uptime SLA reporting: monthly availability percentage and downtime log
  • Scheduled maintenance window management on status pages
