DNS is the foundation of every internet-facing service, and Cloudflare’s DNS resolver is the fastest authoritative DNS provider available, resolving queries in under 10ms globally on average. Hellenic Technologies manages DNS migrations to Cloudflare for all client domains, handling the transition carefully to avoid downtime: we audit all existing records, import them into Cloudflare, validate resolution, then cut over nameservers during low-traffic windows. TTL management is an often-overlooked lever for operational agility. We lower TTLs on critical records before planned changes — infrastructure migrations, IP changes, failover events — then restore them to longer values (3600s or higher) for DNS caching efficiency once changes are stable. For latency-sensitive applications, we use Cloudflare’s geolocation-based DNS steering via Load Balancing to route users to the nearest healthy origin. DNSSEC adds a cryptographic layer that prevents DNS spoofing and cache poisoning attacks. We enable DNSSEC for all domains that support it and manage the DS record registration with domain registrars. Combined with Cloudflare’s Registrar service (for supported TLDs), this eliminates the registrar as a potential attack vector entirely. DNS management services include:
